Taste of 1914

A fan favourite returns! Join us this summer for a Taste of 1914!

Every week our staff are busy whipping up period recipes from cook books including The Boston Cooking School Cook Book, The Berlin Cook Book, Five Roses Flour Cook Book, and more. Recipes like fruit puddings, syrups and schnitz are made using seasonal produce and in some cases, produce grown on site.

Guests are invited to see and smell dishes made in the historic kitchens. Samples prepared in our commercial kitchen will be available to taste.

Guest may also take home a copy of the historic recipe to try at home, with tips included for modern bakers.

Check the calendar to see what we're whipping up in the Village. Please note: Locations and recipes are subject to change depending on availability.
