Potential CUPE 1883 Labour Disruption

The Region of Waterloo is currently in negotiations with CUPE 1883, representing full-time office, clerical and technical employees. Currently, CUPE 1883 will be in a legal strike position as of Saturday, September 26. 

In the event of a strike, services will continue, some with reduced capacity.

  • Lecture series explores importance and impact of climate change Waterloo Region – In celebration of the current exhibit, Our Climate Quest: Small Steps to Big Change, the University of Waterloo, Balsillie School of International Affairs and Ken Seiling Waterloo Region Museum invite residents to enhance their understanding of climate issues through a specially curated lecture series.
