Birds of Prey swoop into the Ken Seiling Waterloo Region Museum
WATERLOO REGION - A new Canadian exhibit called Birds of Prey, created by the Royal British Columbia Museum, will open at the Ken Seiling Waterloo Region Museum on Friday, September 6, 2019.
“Birds of prey have been feared and admired by societies throughout the world,” said Adèle Hempel, Manager/Curator of Region of Waterloo Museums. “This extraordinary exhibit features 19 species of vulture, hawk, eagle, falcon, and 16 species of owl that are found in Canada.”
With specimens displayed in natural poses and surrounded by elements suggestive of their habitats, Birds of Prey illustrates the might and majesty of birds. This exhibition gives visitors the rare opportunity to see these incredible creatures eye to steely eye.
The Birds of Prey runs from September 6, 2019 to January 5, 2020. The Ken Seiling Waterloo Region Museum is located at 10 Huron Road, in Kitchener, Ontario.
